Welcome to the Stratton’s blog – travel stories from 2016 when we left the UK following retirement with Samson & Suzi, an American 5th wheel pulled by an Isuzu truck through to 2020, when our travel in Europe was halted by an accident with a large stone wall in Croatia. The vehicles were lovingly and accurately named by our nephew to help us with the blog. We also spent time in America and India, using various modes of travel, so our diaries are included here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, Samson and Suzi have more recently been userped by a smaller outfit, named by our nephew once again, as Benny (a Kia Sorrento) and Bessy (Bessacarr caravan). Bessy and Benny started their travels in 2021 around England before heading to Spain and finally settling in the Alicante area. Benny has recently been updated to a newer model and Bessy has been “winterised” in Yorkshire following a very dry and damaging summer in Spain, she didn’t like the blasting 50C sun, dusty sandy wind and moaned terribly, so we returned her lovingly to storage in damp, cooler climes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
